Located in Basildon, the Peaceful Place Day Centre offers adults with young onset dementia the opportunity to take part in a wide range of stimulating activities in a safe and friendly environment.

Our day centre is open Monday to Friday and our focus is on providing specialist person centred care which we have been doing for over 22 years enabling our members to continue to live life to the full as much as possible.

We provide a door to door transport service to collect members and drop them home at the end of their day with us.

Our professional staff are fully trained, with a high ratio of support workers to members. We provide a range of mentally, physically and socially stimulating activities including theme days to celebrate important dates, different countries and cultures; day trips so our members have contact with their communities; visitors and speakers; sport, movement and dance for fitness and well-being and creative activities including art and music which allow our members to engage with their environment and express themselves in different ways. Games and quizzes provide cognitive stimulation in a fun environment and gardening activities to help members to maintain their independence. Some of our members also take part in cookery alongside our resident chef who prepares a healthy two-course meal each day.
