Will you remember us in your Will?

By leaving us a gift in your Will, you can make a real difference to brightening the life of someone with dementia.

There are currently around 55,000 people in the UK diagnosed with younger onset dementia, and unfortunately this figure is expected to rise quite dramatically in the future.  Peaceful Place is the only centre in the whole of S. E. Essex which deals specifically with younger onset dementia, and we believe that everyone deserves the right to enjoy their life to the full for as long as they can.

If you or a love one has benefitted from attending Peaceful Place, then you will know what an enjoyable life-enhancing place it is, and if you are a carer, you will appreciate what a great thing it is to experience some respite from the incredibly difficult job of looking after someone you love 24/7.

So why should you make a Will?

It's vital that you make a will if you wish to ensure that your wishes are followed after you have gone.  If you die without leaving a Will, you are said to have died 'intestate' which means that your estate will be legally divided between a fixed list of beneficiaries which may not be what you would have wanted.

It's easy to make a Will - you can do this through a solicitor or other professional who has the expertise to guide you through the process.  There is an excellent website - RememberaCharity.org which gives you all the information you need to know about drawing up a Will.

Whether you wish to leave Peaceful Place money out of gratitude for help you have been given, have suffered hardship that you would wish others to avoid, or would like to give thanks for your own good fortune and help others that haven't been so lucky, please remember us in your will.

Everyone can leave the world a better place - what do you want to be remembered for?
