Queen's Diamond Jubilee Street Party - Sunday, 3rd June 2012 (5 pm - 9 pm)

If you were one of the approximate two and a half thousand people that came and enjoyed the Royal Wedding Street Party in Thorpe Bay Broadway on 30th April 2011, then keep the 3rd of June free to join in celebrations for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012......
Another street party is being planned on a slightly larger scale from the first.......
Music is being provided by the fantastic HEARTBEAT, along with other fantastically talented local talent, heaps of children's entertainment including a pets corner and the opportunity to learn some circus, lots more side shows, a Grand Raffle, Tombolas, food and drink, celebration cakes etc., etc. We already have a Queen and a Prince Philip lookalike, but corgis seem to be in short supply, so if you know anyone with a corgi (it doesn't have to have an Equity card), please ask it to get in touch....
We are already collecting tombola prizes for both adults and children, raffle prizes, and looking street entertainers, singers, dancers, sponsors and help of all sorts.
If you'd like to get involved in any way, would like a side stall, can offer entertainment, can help with printing leaflets or posters or can help in any other way please give Celia Riley a ring on 01702 546476 (8.30 am - 2.30 pm Monday to Friday).

Registration costs £15 which includes a colourful t-shirt, water and a medal to show that you finished the course. Details of when you can register (which will be around the beginning of April) will be posted here when known.
